We lost our Grandpa and Great Grandpa this week. We feel sadness but also happiness that he finished life as he lived it. We will miss his wonderful sense of humour which, thankfully, he passed on to many of his grandsons...we will miss his help with a hammer, talking to both him and Grandma on speakerphone when we would call and visiting him when we go home.

sorry to hear about your Grandpa...i see from your blog you were out to see him just awhile ago. So nice. Like the pictures you posted of him. He sounds like a very special great Grandpa!
Our thoughts have been with you and your family...knowing you will be thankful for you closeness to "Grandpa" when growing up...thankful for the memories you now have. You will treasure them for always!
