ellie - 3 months

we are really enjoying our newest baby - she is growing up too quickly, like they all do. she is very happy, smiley and content. at her 2 month needles she weighed 14 pounds 4 oz so she is growing like a weed. everyone of her big siblings is still enchanted with her! couldn't decide which photo I liked the most so you got three!

First Official Day of School

So A and J are off to school...the summer flew but it was a nice one. Annie is delighted to be back and now so is Jack once he got all checked in. He even has the teacher he wanted (the one that his cousin Reid had last year). Can't beat it. This is actually a photo from their 2nd day of school. Annie went for a bit yesterday than we pulled her out for her Great Grandpa Sargeant's funeral and Jack only had to go for 20 minutes yesterday (a transition day)! So this morning they were officially off. The other two rugrats are playing together beautifully and Drew declared today a pj day so we won't be leaving the house! Now just waiting for baby # 5 to arrive sometime in the next month (or so?!!!?)

Little Delightful Furrballs

We were lucky enough to have a mom at Jack's class ask if we needed some kittens. We did. We had already had two that week that had been absolutely crazy wild and they took off on us. So we were happy to have four sweet little kittens that were very tame. The kids played with them for hours and hours. We were a bit nervous of Zara because she is our only pet and she is such a big gentle giant - we had to keep the kittens in the kennel. One nite the door never got shut as tightly as it should and they all got out. I guess Zara decided to play with them 'cause she must have thought the kids had so much fun with them so should she. Anyways, Greg came home late and she had killed them all. He was kind enough to wake me up and tell me. After a good cry I fell asleep. I was so sad for the kids 'cause they just loved them. Anyways, the next morning was very rough...lots of tears. We have survived and I have said no more kittens for now. I can't handle the tears or the kitty litter smell in my garage!! Glad for some photos to help hang onto the precious memories. These kittens were very well loved.
